Mosque Under Construction needs your Donations
Please read
Please read and distribute widely. Insha-Allah you will get
a great reward.
Assalamo alaikum warahmatullah,
August 31st - The national capital region has witnessed a
great event: the opening of the new Gatineau Mosque, where
the first congregational Asr prayer was held. Since then,
regular prayers and Taraweeh have been taking place in such
a wonderfully peaceful air-conditioned prayer hall, led by
Sheikh Mohammad coming specially from Libya; he has one of
the best recitation styles ever heard in the region. Please
come and listen, you will love it!
The beauty of the building and the spiritual atmosphere
within the mosque should not, however, lead us to believe
that the project is over. Indeed, while the construction
work is almost over, we have been able to pay for only half
of the cost, and outstanding debts of approximately 900 000
$ are still shadowing the atmosphere, with substantial bills
still to come. Furthermore, so as to deliver the mosque
before Ramadan 1st, the contractor has given us the
challenge of paying him in instalments on a regular basis.
He has been able to fulfill his part of the agreement; we
need to fulfill ours. The next instalment to be paid before
October 15th is 250,000$. Should we be unable to meet the
challenge, Allah forbid, the building can be put on a legal
lien.
Each Muslim is called upon to help pay the debts of the
house of Allah, the best debt payment you'll ever have
to make in your life, enabling you to get the reward here
and most importantly in the hereafter.
Knowing that our rewards in the holy month of Raman are
multiplied by tens and hundreds, please don't miss the
opportunity of donating for the Masjid to the best of your
capacity.
May Allah accept your sadaqa, your fasting and all your
good deeds. Ameen!
Please visit www.gmosque.wordpress.com for the different
ways to donate.

MANA Summer CAMP 2008--Important
Asalamualeikum Families of MANA,
We're excited to announce the coming of another
wonderful MANA Family Summer Camp, masha'Allah,
located in the beautiful area of Kewaskum, Wisconsin.
This year, we're implementing a few changes with the
intention of making the camp even better, insha'Allah!
To make this work, we need your help and cooperation.
Please carefully read the following announcements:
1. We'd like your ideas for our theme! Please reply
ASAP with your creative ideas for a theme slogan!
2. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT This is probably the
most important change. This year, ALL families are
REQUIRED to pre-register before the DEADLINE in order
to participate in the camp.
Please, please understand we will NOT BE ADMITTING
people who show up at the camp who are not previously
registered.
We do not intend to be unfriendly, but in order to
plan properly, we must know in advance who and how
many people will be attending. As you can imagine, so
much goes into the camp planning, including buying
food, materials, supplies, programs, sleeping
arrangements and much, much more.
We are striving to make our program more and more
enjoyable for your families, and it is for this reason
we must adhere to this new rule.
Any family not registered by the deadline will not be
able to participate this year.
3. LIMITED SPACE Each year MANA camp grows,
masha'Allah. This year, be sure to send in your REGISTRATION FORM
quickly!
4. GREAT VOLUNTEERS Needed! All those kids...come on,
you know how hard it is! We need a few committed
people to join our team in helping run the kid's
programs. All that would be required of you is a
couple of hours per day. All volunteers will be
appreciated and rewarded in our final closing program.
Please email ASAP if you're willing to lend a much
needed hand. Brothers and Sisters needed!!!
The official registration form will be sent to you in
the near future, insha'Allah. Please get ready to fill
it out and return it before the deadline. We're hoping
everyone is excited about our efforts to make MANA
Camp better and better each year, insha'Allah.
Please feel free to email any questions or concerns
you may have.
Salaam
